Sometimes the answer is just to keep it simple, so in our studio close to the sea in Cornwall we create these lustrous FRESHWATER PEARL bracelets in a variety of lengths to fit wrists from 4” -9”. Pearls work well with most outfits from your favourite jeans to wedding outfits for men and women alike.
Pearls are very on trend with men since high profile fashion houses sent male models down the runway wearing baroque inspired necklaces and tiaras - although this is not a new thing. Among the earliest men to wear pearls were those of royalty and nobility, from Chinese royals in 2300 BC to Indian Maharajas. Polynesian warriors, known for their ferociousness, wore pearls as a sign of power and as amulets. During the 16th century Sir Francis Drake was presented with a large pearl by Queen Elizabeth I. The sea captain and privateer wore the pearl with great pride.
The shorter lengths would be perfect for early birthdays, christening gifts, flower girls etc with the longer lengths making thoughtful gifts for any occasion or a treat for yourself! Add your own message to the descriptive label if giving as a gift. The bracelet will arrive in a drawstring bag.
It’s taken several years of research to source quality pearls at a realistic price, the supplier we have found farm their own pearls, so we purchase direct from them. We have used lustrous 7mm AA grade FRESHWATER PEARLS for this bracelet. The lobster claw clasp fastening and all other fixings are STERLING SILVER. For extra sparkle faceted Czech Crystal can be added to each end, please message when ordering if you would like this addition at no extra charge.
When deciding on your length, you might like to try measuring your wrist with a piece of string or cord, adding sufficient extra length for the amount of movement you would like, then let us know your requirements, this will be the finished length including the fixings. If you would like greater flexibility, which is particularly useful when buying for small children, we have recently added the option of a 1 inch sterling silver extension chain finished with a freshwater pearl. Please ensure you select the correct length, although we are happy to accept returns, postage would be at your own expense. Please message us if you require an option which doesn't feature in the drop down box.
Pearls are a natural material and unlike manufactured beads may have minor irregularities which won’t be noticeable when worn. To care for your pearls and retain their lustre you should keep them away from direct contact with perfume, aftershave, hairspray and any other cosmetics which may contain chemicals.
