Our classic 7mm FRESHWATER PEARLS have a STERLING SILVER Clasp and 1" EXTENSION CHAIN for greater versatility of wear with various necklines, making the jewellery fabulous value for money. The STERLING SILVER extension chain is finished with a freshwater pearl. Your pearls will be lustrous and round in appearance. It’s taken several years of research to source quality pearls at a realistic price, the supplier we have found farm their own pearls, so we purchase direct from them. Since high profile fashion houses recently sent male models down the runway wearing baroque inspired necklaces and tiaras, pearls are very on trend with men, although this is not a new thing. Among the earliest men to wear pearls were those of royalty and nobility, from Chinese royals in 2300 BC to Indian Maharajas. Polynesian warriors, known for their ferociousness, wore pearls as a sign of power and as amulets. During the 16th century Sir Francis Drake was presented with a large pearl by Queen Elizabeth I. The sea captain and privateer wore the pearl with great pride.

Your necklace will be made to order, with care in our studio close to the sea in Cornwall. We take huge pride in creating a piece of jewellery, especially for you, that is lovely to look at and wear. Please ensure you select the correct length, although we are happy to accept returns, postage would be at your own expense. The shorter lengths are generally suitable for those of smaller stature or wishing to wear their jewellery choker style. Check out our necklace length chart for help with sizing. Lengths EXCLUDE the extension chain which gives you a further 1” for adjustment. Your pearls will be presented in a drawstring pouch with descriptive card.

Pearls are a natural material and unlike manufactured beads may have minor irregularities which won’t be noticeable when worn. To care for your pearls and retain their lustre you should keep them away from direct contact with perfume, aftershave, hairspray and any other cosmetics which may contain chemicals. Avoid wearing whilst bathing/showering or swimming.
