The Pearl Fisher

This MERMAID inspired piece has been in my imagination for some while and finally it's come together! I scoured my collection of vintage jewellery and other items to capture the essence of the ocean. A Mermaid, dives towards a vintage shell charm to which I have attached FRESHWATER PEARLS. I have also incorporated various vintage earrings and charms which I have enamelled together with a shell from a Cornish beach. The necklet is made up of vintage glass, metal and wooden beads. Each individual item is wired to a metal frame which I have backed with felt. The necklace is finished with a Gold Plated Lobster Claw Clasp and extension chain. Only ONE in the world!!
The Necklace will arrive boxed with signed descriptive authentication.

My passion is to re-purpose once loved vintage and antique jewellery, largely found in and around Cornwall marrying with sterling silver, gemstones, pearls and sometimes sea glass creating new pieces to treasure. The stunning coastline and the flora and fauna of the county is a source of inspiration, not to mention the myth and legend surrounding the county, together with tales of smugglers and pirates in bygone days. Each unique design is created in my studio close to the sea in Mevagissey.
